Ad prices are still at a low level but this doesn’t reflect in the stock prices of Google and Facebook. The reason why both stocks rose after the Q1 result is that these two platforms are the ones advertisers first go back to once it is time to advertise. Not many companies want to gamble on their marketing investments and most advertisers will want to see results from their markting over the weeks to come. With this as a background, in combination with a forced digital transformation, is my bet that Google and Facebook will stand even stronger post-Covid.
