The chronological feed returs to Instagram
The Instagram chronological feed is back. It’s called “Following” and comes with more new options to scroll through your feed. Even better, the app now offers three feed options: Following, Favorites, and Home.
- The ‘Home’ option is basically the current algorithmically sorted feed that Instagram introduced in 2016. It will remain the default option when you open Instagram.
- ‘Following’ is the one many of you have been waiting for. It’s a return to the origins with a chronological stream of posts from the accounts you follow.
- And ‘Favorites’ is what exactly what the name stands for: a collection of accounts you choose to see content from, which will also be shown in chronological order.
