Sam Altman returns as OpenAI’s CEO
This year’s most dramatic business breakup took place during the weekend. OpenAI, the company who started the AI hype with its revolutionary chatbot ChatGPT, suddenly fired its CEO Sam Altman on Friday. The board’s explanation for the ousting was that Sam Altman “had not been transparent in his communication”. The story is far from over here though. On Monday Altman was recruited by Microsoft. And this morning it was announced that he’s back as CEO of OpenAI and that the board will be restructured.
