Instagram Reels have now had its broad release and the big question is – can they win over TikTok?

Always hard to know if new functions will make it among users but there are a few things in Reels favor:

• When Instagram copied Stories from Snapchat it was a big hit.
• TikTok is fighting for survival in many markets, i.e. timing is great.
• Several profiles on TikTok have started to promote their accounts on Instagram for fans.
• Reels is a function within a popular app which can make a big difference

In the end is it as always the users who decide which service that will win, hence we can only wait and see.
