In the three-way battle between YouTube, Reels and TikTok, creators aren’t counting on a big payday
Social media users nowadays consume less content from friends and family in favor of content from creators and influencers. TikTok kick started this shift in consumer behavior and it has continued with Reels and YouTube Shorts. The tech giants are all trying to woo the creators to their platform with creator funds such as TikTok’s ‘Creativity Program’. The creators aren’t counting on a big pay day though. CNCB have interviewed a number of big creators who still see long form video on YouTube as the best source of revenue.
