Shoppable Image Ads from Google – What's new?

Retailers have a new ad format that is slowly becoming available on publishers and next year will roll out in Google Image Search. The ad format is called Shoppable Image ads and allows shoppers to see the prices and the items on sale in an image. One-third of holiday shoppers said they searched for images before they went in store to shop according to a study made by Google.
The growth of “street style” and online influencers all show the movement towards looking at lifestyle images for visual inspiration. According to Google, over the next year, shoppable image ads will continue to roll out to more publishers, as well as pilot new surfaces like Google Image Search.
