Facebook Messenger has had an impressive growth and development during 2017 not only in terms of usage but also in terms of functions. Chatbots has been a real buzz during the second half of 2017 and my guess is that we’ll see a lot more of Messenger during 2018. A few numbers to sum up 2017 on Messenger:

• 17 billon videochats were done, twice the amount made during 2016.
• Users sent 18 billion GIF’s
• On an average day was 260 million chats started
• 7 billions conversations were started on a normal day
